I started my career in magazine publishing in Cape Town, South Africa. Working my way through the ranks to Art Director status within a few years. As Art Director on a number of publications, I was responsible for the layout and design, as well as the management of product and cover shoots – including scheduling, budgets, and model selection.
Since moving back to the USA, over eight years ago, I was employed as a Graphic Designer for the in-house marketing department for a big corporate. This position has given me exposure to all the various types of marketing materials whether print or digital. Print is my first love, but I am equally happy working across both print and digital media.
Working as a Freelance Graphic Designer gives me the freedom to choose my own projects, and work on diverse and exciting design challenges while managing the responsibilities of running my own business.
I believe in the power of collaboration and communication. By understanding my clients' goals and vision, I ensure that every design I create not only meets but exceeds expectations. Whether it's building a brand identity from scratch or refreshing an existing design, I am committed to delivering top-notch results that resonate with target audiences.
In my spare time, I like to cook (and eat), read romance novels and explore my new environment. I've been married for 17 years and have a 14 (going on 18) year old daughter. Plus, two cats and a Boston Terrier that drive me crazy.
